Ian holds graduate and undergraduate degrees in Management Science and Engineering from Stanford University and in Applied Mathematics and Economics from the University of California, Berkeley. His computational expertise was shaped through graduate studies in Computational Engineering and Machine Learning, followed by professional experience as a quantitative risk manager at Barclays Investment Bank, where he conducted extensive data analysis and developed financial models in Python, R, VB.NET and FORTRAN.
Ian later established the Code Campus Group, which operates in multiple jurisdictions across Asia. He designs curricula in Digital Transformation, Gen AI, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, and Data Engineering for learners from diverse backgrounds. He teaches at both Singapore Management University and the Asia School of Business, where he is the lead instructor for the Design Thinking for Digital Transformation module in the Executive Digital Leaders Programme (EDLP) delivered in partnership with MyDIGITAL. His work in Malaysia focuses on equipping professionals and senior leadership with the strategic and technical capabilities required for modern digital and AI transformation.
